This is a vintage flavor that most likely you have never experienced, thanks to the ban against blackcurrant plants in the majority of the United States. Luckily, the candy is perfectly safe and legal!
How to describe it? Officially, it’s described as “a sweet earthy taste unlike other berries. Fresh gooseberry and passion-fruit flavour-aromas and hints of raspberry, combined with the floral aromatic notes of carnations and roses.”
Everyone who helped taste test the candy for us described it as “if a raspberry and an orange had a baby,” which we think is a very accurate description.
